Relocation Checklist

 

 

HomeBuyerConsultants.Com consultants provide this checklist to each relocating client and explains each step of the relocation process.

 

o    Met with company relocation people and obtained a complete understanding and documentation of company relocation policy. (if applicable)

o      Obtained Real Estate Professionals from HomeBuyerConsultants.Com Inc. to assist the sale of my home and purchase of a home in new location.

Selling Current Home

o       Determined with my Seller Real Estate Professional the best price to list my property for, discussed the marketing program for my home, and discussed my company's relocation policies.

o       Completed a Disclosure Form for my property with assistance from my Real Estate Professional.

o       Assured a large 'For Sale' sign is posted by my Real Estate Professional on my property with high visibility of passerbys.

o       Prepared home and property for showings to potential buyers that were set up by my Real Estate Professional.

o       Worked through my Real Estate Professional to review offers and  negotiate a final Purchase Agreement with the buyer.

o       Worked with my Real Estate Professional to arrange for the buyer's inspection(s) of the property.

o       Worked through my Real Estate Professional to negotiate with the buyer requested corrections to any major problems found in the inspection .

o       Prepared for closing with my Real Estate Professional's assistance.

o       Closed on home with my Real Estate Professional's assistance.

o       Planned move, sent out change of address cards, and notified utility companies of move date.

Purchasing Home in New Location

o       Discussed my needs with the Buyer Real Estate Professional provide by HomeBuyerConsultants.Com Inc.

o       Obtained an estimate from a mortgage company for how much I am qualified to borrow to purchase a home and obtained pre-approval from them.

o       Determined area, school district, and features desired for the home I want to purchase and let my Real Estate Professional know.

o       Obtained a list of homes from my Real Estate Professional that meet my specifications.

o       Chose several that look appealing and had my Real Estate Professional arrange for me to visit to see the inside of the homes.

o       Picked the home I want and worked with my Real Estate Professional to present an offer to the sellers.

o       Worked with my Real Estate Professional to negotiate a final Purchase Agreement with the sellers.

o       Arranged for the inspection(s) of the property to assure I am purchasing a home in good condition.

o       Worked with my  Real Estate Professional to negotiate with the seller to correct any major problems found in the inspection.

o       Worked with my mortgage company and consulted with my Real Estate Professional to get mortgage approved.

o       Mortgage company has given final approval for the mortgage.

o       My Real Estate Professional scheduled and I completed a final walk-through of home just before closing to verify that it is in the condition expected.

o       Prepared for closing with Real Estate Professional's assistance.  

o       Moved in.
